Paradise Lost

According to John Milton in his book, in Paradise Lost, when Lucifer was banished from Heaven, he said, "It is better to rule in Hell than serve in Heaven

The actual quote is:"To reign is worth ambition though in Hell: Better to reign in Hell, then serve in Heav'n."

Now I know you must be thinking "Damn Rick your weird and have too much time on your hands" - well to answer that Yes I'm weird, but I'm actually busy but I've always loved that quote. It means better to do things on your own terms than rely on or follow someone else
... it reminds me of the Hells Kitchen softball team.

I used to play on Gallagher's and play every game worry free in the Big Apple League. Some would say that is softball heaven.

Then I managed Gallagher's and the team finished only 15-15, collapsing down the stretch losing 10 of our last 11. Some would say that is Hell.

Now 2 years later I find myself general manager & co-manager of the Hells Kitchen softball team.

Another chance to manage.
Another chance to literally Reign in Hell

Tom Coughlin got another chance and made the most of it

so can I
