Inwood Vibe 2015

Inwood   has had setbacks this fall:

• Fewer teams
• One fewer Sunday to play in because Labor Day was late this year
• Two frustrating Rain outs

The league hasn't quite been buried under a landslide, but it's not exactly at the top of the fall softball mountain anymore. After all we are all getting older, but the SB love remains.

This week the feature match up is between 2011 Morning Champion Sandlot (5-1) versus Inwood's version of always a bridesmaid never a bride Hell's Kitchen "HK" (5-0)

Inwood has had many great teams - West, Highlanders, Westlanders, Phillies, Knockout, Bizcocheros but it has never had an undefeated team.. At 5-0 HK's is off to a fast start.. Let explore the Secret of HK's success.

9. They played three teams who all had 1-4 records. Two Rained out weekends have skewed the standings

So often in baseball/softball players and teams are judged by numbers:

• Number of  Runs
• Number of Wins
• Number of Homers
• Numbers of Saves
• Highest Batting Average
• Batting Average with runners in scoring position
• Highest On Base Percentage
• Highest Slugging Percentage
• etc

Over a long sample size numbers may not exactly be honest, but at least they give you the data you need to make informed decisions.

In my fundraising effort so far I’ve been focusing on 3 specific numbers:

1. In 2015, there will be an estimated 1,658,370 new cancer cases diagnosed and 589,430 cancer deaths in the US.  This sucks and has to be fought.

To do our small part I have focused on the following numbers

19 years later their are still no gun changes. This week proved that ... No way NRA can justify this their rhetoric... The NRA doesn't care about the 2nd amendment, all they care about is making money at the expense of American lives. They spin fear and outdated laws as a reason not to change the gun laws. THIS SHIT HAS GOT TO STOP!!!   
 We need gun law changes " as Tupac said "You see the old way wasn't working so it's on us to do
